　　Lin Lan, born in 1971 in chaozhou people, Guangdong. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1993, graduated from Central Academy of Arts and Crafts with a master’s degree in 1996, and graduated from Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts with a doctor’s degree in fine arts in 2004.

　　At present, he is the representative of the 14th National People’s Congress, the 10th vice chairman of China Artists Association, the chairman of Guangdong Artists Association, the secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the deputy director of the Chinese Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, the director of China Artists Association, the researcher of China National Painting Academy, the member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Design Major in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, and the member of the Sub-committee of the National Teaching Steering Committee of Art Professional Degree Postgraduates.

　　He was awarded outstanding teachers in Nanyue, Guangdong Youth May 4th Medal, leading talents in propaganda, ideology and culture of "Guangdong Special Support Program", young and middle-aged writers and artists in Guangdong Province, "outstanding talents in the new century" by the Ministry of Education, and young and middle-aged literary and art workers in Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China.

　　In May 2016, he served as vice president of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and in December 2019, he served as president of Guangdong Painting Academy.

　　On November 28, 2023, he served as Party Secretary of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.

　　On January 30th, 2024, he served as the 10th Vice Chairman of China Artists Association.

　　Golden paintings are different from stage to stage, people are changing, the world is changing every second, and a colorful new world has arrived. In a kaleidoscope of things, there may be only a few points in everyone’s life that can stimulate creative enthusiasm and ideas. I like the color of gold and silver, and I like all kinds of new materials. I hope to use the gold and silver color of this new material to express my truest feelings, to people, things and the world.
