A few days ago, AITO’s new flagship SUV M9 was officially unveiled, but the new car only released its appearance and the interior was not made public. As time went on, we got a spy photo of the interior of the M9 from relevant channels. According to the information obtained before, the M9 will be officially listed in mid-December, and the production car has been off the assembly line. In the future, the new car is expected to be listed and delivered. It is worth mentioning that the reservation has been opened before the M9, and the estimated price is 500,000-600,000 yuan, providing two kinds of power options: extended range version and pure electric version.
From the spy photos obtained, the most striking interior of the M9 is the large joint screen that runs through the center console. It consists of three screens, namely, full LCD instrument, central control large screen and co-pilot entertainment screen, which are all exaggerated in size, and can be linked with the AR-HUD head-up display system to create a strong scientific and technological atmosphere for the car. It is expected that Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS 4.0 cockpit will not be absent.
The air outlet of the air conditioner is decorated with chrome elements and equipped with two wireless charging panels for mobile phones. The central passage area and the door panel are also covered with wooden decorative panels, with brown interior, a large number of leather materials and atmosphere lights, which has a good performance in luxury texture.
According to the spy photos obtained before, the seat of the M9 is relatively wide, and a thickened headrest is added at the head position to further enhance the ride comfort. The second row uses two independent seats, and has rich electric adjustment options and zero-gravity design. Even the third row seats support electric adjustment, thus ensuring ride comfort.
As a large SUV, the gas field of the M9 is quite strong. The most striking thing on the front face is the headlight group. The far and near lights on both sides of the penetrating light strip show the shape of a water bottle, and the light strip with a bit of array is added above, and the LED panel with matrix style is adopted below, and the design is symmetrical up and down, which looks quite chic. In addition, it can also project lights on the ground or wall, and can interact with surrounding vehicles or pedestrians to further enhance the sense of science and technology of the whole vehicle.
The side shape of the car body is quite smooth, and some models also use a two-color body. As can be seen in the details, the roof is equipped with a lidar, and a side-looking camera is added to the front fender, indicating that the new car will be equipped with Huawei’s latest ADS 2.0 high-order intelligent driving system, and the exterior rearview mirror also integrates an NFC contactless unlocking module. According to different models, two styles of 21-inch wheels are available.
At the tail, the penetrating taillights echo the headlights, and the red light strips extend all the way to the inside of the lamp cavities on both sides, and LED panels are also designed in the lower part to ensure the eye-catching effect after lighting. The position of the license plate frame has been concave, which is also a family-oriented design element, and a silver guard plate has been added to the back enclosure for embellishment. The whole tail shape is full and looks quite heavy.
In terms of body size, the declared length, width and height of the new car are 5230/1999/1800mm, and the wheelbase is 3110mm, with a 6-seat layout. For reference, the length, width and height of the ideal L9 are 5218/1998/1800mm and the wheelbase is 3105mm respectively. In contrast, the size of the boundary M9 is slightly dominant.
Wenjie M9 will provide two kinds of power options: extended range version and pure electric version. The extended range version is equipped with a 1.5T range extender with a maximum power of 112kW and two drive motors with a maximum power of 165kW and 200kW respectively, and the declared pure electric cruising range is 175km. The pure electric version also adopts the dual-motor layout. The maximum power of the front and rear motors is 160 kW and 230 kW respectively, and the declared cruising range is 630 km. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with a rear wheel follow-up steering system.
At present, AITO brand owns two models, namely, Wenjie M5 (medium SUV) and Wenjie M7 (medium and large SUV). In the future, Wenjie M9 will become the flagship SUV of the brand, and it is also one of the few new energy large SUVs of its own brand. The main competitor that the new car will face is the ideal L9 (429,800-459,800 yuan), but the latter has a certain advantage in popularity. Let’s wait and see if M9 can catch up. (Text/Comfort)
